Manu Bhaker: Shooting Sensation and Olympic Medalist

Manu Bhaker, born on February 18, 2002, in Jhajjar, Haryana, is one of India’s most accomplished young shooters. She shot to fame after becoming the youngest Indian to win a gold medal at the ISSF World Cup in 2018. Her extraordinary talent was further solidified with a series of victories, including gold medals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and the Youth Olympic Games.

Known for her precision and mental toughness, Bhaker has accumulated numerous accolades in both individual and team events, particularly in the 10m air pistol category. She won the prestigious Arjuna Award in 2019 for her contributions to Indian shooting.

In 2024, she made history again by securing a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics, becoming the first Indian woman to win an Olympic medal in shooting. Bhaker continues to be a role model for aspiring athletes, with her sights set on achieving even greater success in the future, including her ultimate goal of an Olympic gold.
