Manika Batra: Indian Table Tennis Star

Manika Batra, born on June 15, 1995, in Delhi, is a top-ranked Indian table tennis player known for her historic achievements on both national and international platforms. Rising through the ranks, she made a major breakthrough in 2018 when she won two gold medals at the Commonwealth Games, becoming the first Indian woman to do so in singles and team events. Her outstanding performance also includes winning a bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games in mixed doubles.

In 2024, Manika achieved her career-best world ranking of No. 24 in women’s singles, marking a first for any Indian woman in the sport.
